We at Hilltopvoices this week celebrates with joy Rev Fr Akem Evaristus Ndi Sch. P. following his election as Provincial Superior of the Piarist Fathers for Central African; a function he will be the first black or African to handle. He was elected last week at the close of their chapter meeting that held in Yaounde. He is charged with overseeing Piarist Communities in Cameroon, Gabon, Equitorial Guinea and now Congo. Born in Fuanantui of Kum Country in Boyo Division on the 1st of March, 1969, Rev Fr Akem Evaristus was ordained on the 11th of June 2005 in the Bamenda St Joseph Metropolitan Cathedral to serve as a Priest of the Bamenda Archdiocese. Prior to his appointments he was Formation Master at the
Saint Raphael Formation House,
Romajai Kumbo where candidates begin their journey to Priesthood in the Piarist Order in Cameroon. He takes over from Rev Fr Javier Negro who has occupied the function for two years after the erection of a Province for Central Africa in 2012.

announced his four new Vice Provincials; They are, Rev Fr Romeo Nghemteu of the Futru Nkwen Community, Rev Fr Emilio Calcena of the Kumbo Formation House, Rev Fr Felicien Cite Verte Community better known as Scholasticat 2 a formation house for Theologians in Yaounde and Fr Berinyuy Andrew currently studying in the United States of America.
With the Provincial House in Yaounde, The New Provincial and his Assistance may in the days ahead be transferring from their present communities that is Kumbo and Futru-Nkwen.
This
Monday April 13, 2015, Christians of ST Michael's Parish Futru-Nkwen showed up in the main mission
to receive the New Provincial which can be read as a sign of Love and
acceptance by his people.

The Piarist Community of St Michael's Parish Futru-Nkwen as well as the Calasanzian Sisters came together later Monday evening to celebrate the New Provincial and his Assitance.
