According to statistic the Twenty Five years old Social Democratic Front SDF party has hardly contested elections in all council areas of Cameroon be it in the Municipal, Legislative or Presidential elections.
Addressing why the party has not been able to contest elections Nationwide the son and political follower of SDF National Chairman Benjamin Fru Ndi told listeners of Frank-Talk; a flagship talk-show program over one of Bamenda's leading radio stations Radio Hot Cocoa hosted by Nimpa Francis and a team of panelists that, the problem is with the commitment of militants. He explained that to be able to run for office one must be convinced and show seriousness. According to Benjamine when militants are convinced with the party ideology and decide to run for office in their respective areas then the party can come in to support with electoral material or other gadgets but since this commitment is lacking it becomes difficult for the party to be present everywhere.
On the party's income he indicated that the spirit of voluntary contribution has died due to the CPDM strategy of paying militants in Cameroon and so the party only depends on government subvention so sustainance.
Benjamin Fru Ndi spent well over 25minutes on phone during the program addressing many issues of the party and ending with a call for all to join in the Silver Jubilee celebration currently going on across the country and beyond.
