This Thursday May 14, was another exciting day for Christians of St Micheal's Parish FUTRU-NKWEN as they joined the rest of Christian world particularly the Roma Catholic Church to observe the feast of the Ascension; a day they believe their founder Jesus Christ went to heaven body and soul after his resurrection. Apart from regularly Masses that held in some churches around the Parish, Youths and some elderly persons accompanied by three Piarist Priest assembled on one of the hilltops in Nkwen baptised Mt Calvary.
Rev Fr Obassi Gerald Parish Priest, Rev Fr. Romeo Nghemteu and Rev Fr Hippolyte Wirkar celebrated a highly animated Holy Mass on Mt Cavary which gave them the opportunity to call on the Christians for total conversion and dependence on God after his undoubted resurrection and ascension to heaven.
Praises, dancing, drama, eating and Birthday celebrations ended the Day.
Hilltopvoices joined the Ascension Day feast and captured some pictures on Mt Calvary for you: Feel free to download any of the pictures for personal use but for media organs, givings us the photo-credits will go a long way to supporting our work.
HAPPY Ascension
