| CTO-CARO activities launching Bamenda |
The
University of Bamenda Uba, Monday June 29, 2015 hosted the ceremony to launch
activities for the CTO Central Africa Regional Office (CTO-CARO).
The
launching Chaired by the General Manager of Cameroon’s Telecommunications
Regulatory Board TRB, Jean Marie Mbengue had in attendance local administrative
authorities amongst them Northwest Governor Adolph Lele L’afrique, The Vice
Chancelor of Uba Tafack Edokat, The Mayor of Tubah Tanjong Martin and traditional authorities.

In
separate presentations by the Governor and the Vice Chancellor, there was an identical
call for CTO to aid Cameroon’s Baby University of Bamenda in the development of
its information Communication Technology ICT competence.
Created
in 1901, CTO uses ICTs for development with the mission to promote, facilitate
and guide members to deliver effective development interventions.
The
Central Africa Regional Office is based in Cameroon and hosted by TRB in
Yaounde.
