Despite heavy rains in Bamenda Sunday July 26, 2015 thousands
stormed the Bamenda municipal Stadium to watch Yong Sports Academy, YOSA
against Bamboutos FC of Mbouda.
After a 0-1 defeat imposed on Bamboutos FC at the Mbouda Municipal
Arena April 26, 2015, the entire Mbouda emptied itself into Bamenda for the
game with the hope of getting a win.
At the end of the first 45 minutes it was goalless.

During
the break, Supporters took the stage with general fighting. This however only
came to confirm insinuations that a football game between Bamboutos FC and any
team in Bamenda is always a matter of “do or die” for the supporters. The fight
from what we gathered erupted due to the forceful removal of a suppose “witch
doctor” from the tribune who was said to be carrying charms for Bamboutos.
Another fight also ensued from a tussle over whose mascot should be on the
track around the sandy turf. These fights however had no links to the players
or match officials.

24minutes
into the second half Kombou Fanedouo headed in a goal for YOSA following a
cross from Nkamfu Gilbert. The goal was celebrated in various forms with
provocations seen everywhere around the stadium.
The
home team enjoyed the lead till the 90th minute when assistant team
captain for Bamboutos FC Elice Nyeck headed in a cross from Ngheah Emmanuel to
level score. As was expected the joy was total mindful of the fact that the
visitors had better support than the home team.

While
Mbimi Gerald coach of Bamboutos FC was satisfied with his draw Kamgue Justine
for YOSA was visibly unhappy as home spectators rained insults on him. He was
visibly angered by that but he was later seen in a calmer mode with the Team
President Yong Jack.
As
YOSA kept her 8th position with 36 points, Bamboutos FC dropped from
the 9th to the 10th position with 35 points.
