It
took Rev Ngu over 50minutes to do an xray of the Ministers Fellowship
Conference theme “Cost of Intentional Strategic Discipleship.”
With
COST as being the addition to last year’s theme to get this year’s theme, the
prolific speaker noted that Many Ministers nowadays do not want to pay the
price of discipleship.
He
stated that “discipleship is not and accident. It is planned” and so “the
intention of every Minister should be to make the laity know they are here to fulfill
Gods plan. The Rev Ngu appreciated the Multi Staff Church set up which is being
used by many churches today as a good strategy for discipleship as many
individuals are reached in the process.

With
reference to I John 1-1 the speaker defined discipleship as a lifelong process
which is Gods’ means of achieving eternal purpose.
“Discipleship
should be an example in life style and this cannot be with challenges” he said.
These challenges he enumerated - unwillingness to pay the price, following Christ
from a distance, the deceitfulness of worldly riches….
Rev
Ngu Gabriel concluded with a call for complementary action amongst the Ministers and
deceits from being pulpit pastors and go for individuals who make up the core
of discipleship.
“The
fact that one has gone to the seminary does not make him or her Pastor.” Rev
Ngu said adding that after seminary one must seek Christ in other to produce
other disciples and be an asset and not a liability to the Cameroon Baptist Convention
CBC.
