Members of Cameroon’s
biggest micro finance network will this Saturday October 17, 2015 assemble in
Bamenda for celebrations marking the 2015 international Credit Union Day.
Speaking in Bamenda
during a round table conference Fombu Raphael Bamenda Chapter president noted
that the day is set aside for credit unions to evaluate themselves, celebrate
achievements and chat a better way forward.
Joining
the round table later Musa Shey Nfor CamCCUL’s President who doubles as the
Bamenda Chapter president explained that following this year’s theme “we have
been to orphanages and other places to reach out to the needy as part of
cooperate social responsibility.”
The
Bamenda event according to the organisers is the launching event which will now
pave the way for celebrations and manifestations at chapter level.
Ngum
Godlove General Manager of the Bamenda Police Cooperative Credit Union, Azeh Chrysantus
president of the Nkwen Cooperative Credit, and other representatives from
Bayelle, MITAYEN and others answered present.
According
to the program presented during the round table, there will be a mass movement
of credit union members from some points in the city to the Bamenda congress
hall for the official launching of this year’s event with Northwest Governor
expected in Attendance.
