According to the announcement which was made public in a press release signed by the Minster of Public Health, Andre Mama Fouda, the exercise is thanks to the joint efforts of the Cameroon Government and her international partners aimed at ending the spread of malaria. World Health Organisation WHO statistics sungest that malaria is a disease considered as one of the deadliest on the African continent.
Though the release indicated that the exercise was to go from August to September, the Northwest started receiving the government gift this Wednesday October 28, 2015.
Though not in the required quantity for the entire region, the Chief Clark at the Northwest Governors office on behalf of the Governor during the regional launching of the national campaign for the distribution in the Bambili intergrated health center noted that there were plans to get the rest of the nets soon.

A demonstration of the installation and usage of the nets, official handing over and a few speeches marked the Bambili event.

Absalum Monono Wolua urged families to effectively use the mosquito bed nets in a bid to eradicate the disease and death resulting from malaria to the barest minimum.
