Highlights
In a population of people in the Northwest Region 10.2% of them live with disability in all the 34 council areas, 50 Fondoms communities and families. 

Disability thrives due to Inequality in income distribution
Efforts made to better the situation of persons with disabilities:
By 2008 the CBC HB had services for persons with Disability looked from medical point of view
Approached focused mainly on service provision, Emphasis on especial education andDisability program designed and others

  
In 2009 work started on Linking services to reduce duplication and increase effectiveness, evolving towards inclusive project cycle management, introduction of inclusive education in mainstreaming schools, introduction of an inclusive micro finance model
Amongst the Partners are; CBCHB, CIS, SAJOCAH etc
About SEEPD
Started in 2009 with mission to improve on the lives of persons with disabilities
Phase 1 2009 2011, Phase 2 2012 – 2014,
Phase 3 2015-2018 which is the current phase is aimed at: Ensuring that local; development actors are effectively mainstreaming disability in all local development initiatives, to improve on quality of life for PWD

Medical and rehabilitation component
Inclusice education, Livelihood, Community, Gender and child protection
Mian project sites
Ndu, Wum, kumbo, Ndop, Bamenda, Mbengwi and Fundong
Works with 17 associations of persons with disabilities
And other civil society organization Senti, CEEFED, 

The Future
·         To ensure that persons with disability have Quality and accessibility of medical services is in a sustainable way
·         More children with disability access education in inclusive settings in sustainable ways
·         More PWD can access livelihood opportunities
·         Sustainable equity for men and women to benefit from services
·         Inclusive employment services

Is SEEPD only in the Northwest?
No The SEEPD program in the Northwest is the Pilot phase
Lobbying during the third phase will go nationwide and consequently all other persons in the Nation will benefit.
