Cameroon Footballers trade Union better known by the French acronym SYNAFOC has handed football boots to players of Yong Sports Academy YOSA FC.
The trade union officials to Bamenda led by former international footballer and player of the indomitable Geremi Njitab who doubles as president of the union handed over the football boots Thursday June 15, 2017. Accompanied to Bamenda by employees of the union and other members amongst them former indomitable lion players Masing and Mbah Njama,
Njitab also used the ceremony to educate the
young and active footballers on the objectives of the trade union which he
emphasized was the only in Cameroon with the primary responsibility of
protecting players.
“This visit
is special first because we came to congratulate and to encourage you. You are
doing according to me the best profession in the world which is football. Most
of you are young and you want to become professionals and also defend the
colours of Cameroon national teams. ” Njitab said. To achieve this dream Njitab reiterated “there
are key things you have to learn. First you must work and train very hard, secondly
you have to be ambitious, and the thirdly and most important you have to be
discipline. Self-discipline and respecting the discipline of the team is very
important for your career.” The fulfilled player will also recommend rest and
attention to advice from coaches and the trade union.
During a question and answer session players
who were visibly satisfied with the presentation of the Trade Union raised
worries which ranged from issues of poor health care, lack of insurance,
ignorance on contract issues, poor infrastructure and lack proper resting time
due to poor league planning.
The Njitab led delegation will encourage the
players to be discipline and obedient and pay attention to detail when signing
contracts never to be in a hurry. They will also assure the players of the
trade union’s readiness to assist handle professional issues when the need
arises.
Amongst
those who welcomed the Njitab delegatin to Bamenda was Yong Jacques president
of YOSA who himself was visibly satisfied with the donation to his players.
According to him it is the first time he is witnessing such a gesture adding
that the boots will greatly help the young players. The players appreciated the
quality of boots corroborating their president that they will be of great help
to them.

charged with the management of professional footballers worldwide with
recognition from FIFA and CAF governing football in the world and in Africa.
