The SDF Candidate for the October 7 Presidential election has announce a Mobile Application for his Presidential bid.
In
a Facebook post Monday September 3, Joshua Osih indicated that the creation of
a Mobile Application for his campaign is a demonstration of the envisaged
digitalization of Cameroon should he be voted president of Cameroon. The SDF Candidate for the October 7 Presidential election has announce a Mobile Application for his Presidential bid.
“In a few hours, my mobile app will be ready
for download. This app designed for all Cameroonians registered on electoral
lists, is a symbol of the Digital Revolution which I am looking forward to
implement if elected” Osih writes
The app he adds “has several features: my program available for
download, all the campaign news and all key information necessary to protect
your vote, on October 7th 2018.”
The creation of a Mobile App for campaigns is a novelty in
Cameroon since the take of multiparty politics in Cameroon as it moves out of
the traditional methods of printing posters, media outings or rallies.
The Candidate of the SDF is also the first to have announced the
official website for the October polls.
As to the functioning, the SDF Presidential election flag bearer
notes that the Mobile App “is designed as an interactive tool of communication
between you and me.”
The official announcement will take place in the days ahead.
We can confirm but sources close to the SDF party say Joshua Osih is out of the canvasing for votes from the slightly above 18 thousand Cameroonians registered for the elections and based out of the country from where they will vote.
Joshua Osih and seven others are challenging incumbent Paul Biya who has been in power for close to 36years.
