back was instrumental in stopping the attacking machine of Bamboutos FC that in
less than a week punished Colombe of Dja et Lobo with a 5-2 defeat in the
season’s opener in Yaoundé. After being name man of the match he told
hilltopvoices “My game was good. I am very happy being named man of the match
because each time I play I give my best 100% and yesterday was one of those
days you get rewarded for a job well done.”
The 18 year
old maintains that his performance has been greatly inspired by his recent
selection into the U-23 national team. “As a U-23 Lion I now have to do
everything to maintain that standard. I play and act in that way and I am
grateful to the technical staff of the U-23 national team for the work we did
and for the great experience they have given me. I have to use that now that I
am with AS Fortuna.”
The former
player of PWD Bamenda is already is already thinking about his next fixture
against Stade Renard of Melong.
His agent
describes him as one of his players with a mind-set that fits him squarely in
any professional football setup. “He is a great player who plays exceptionally
as a left back but can be very dangerous at the attack because most times he
compliments the attack since he has good speed.” He said confirming that
several other clubs locally and internationally have shown interest in the youngster.
