The Governor of the North West Region has banned the sell of indigenous medicine in public transports buses. Adolph Lele L'Afrique Tchoffo D. Made the decision public on Thursday July 23 during an inspection tour of the city of Bamenda aimed at accessing the implementation level of prevention measures against the coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking while visiting some travel agencies during his tour, the Governor stated that hose who sell these traditional medicine in buses do not respect physical distancing as instructed by government measures. He has ordered his immediate collaborators that is Senior Divisional Officers SDOs and Divisional Officers SDOs to ensure the effective implementation of his decision.
The Governor has also closed liquor vendors in the city who have not been seen implementing the anti COVID-19 measures. His collaborators have been instructed to ensure effective implementation which to the Regional administrative head marks the end of a period of grace during which people were expected to implement the measures without fear of repression.

"I am very happy with this decision. I travel to Douala and Yaounde very often and I see them every day. The worst part is that they don't wear masks but when I complain other passenger rather look at me as if I am over reacting. It is a very good decision." Rene Nsairun said
