Officials of the
Empowerment and Disability Inclusive Development Program of the Cameroon
Baptist Convention Heath Services CBCHS are in the far North Region of Cameroon
in search for better avenues to promote values of disability inclusive development.
The sensitization mission hopes to on board all disabilities stakeholders for
the inclusion of children with disabilities in all development projects in that
part of Cameroon.
A post on the Facebook page of the Cameroon Baptist Convention Heath Services indicated that the
team has been to the City Council of Maroua . “Mrs Agho in her presentation
convinced the Mayor & his team on the importance of mainstreaming
disability in all council development actions. The Mayor welcomed a Tripatite
MOU, between the Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Services, the City Council
and Fondation Bethleem to facilitate the inclusion of Children, youths &
adults with disabilities in all aspects of development. The Super Mayor, Dr.
Sali Babani, praised the timeliness of the visit, which fits squarely in the
council's social development plan. More in this blossoming collaboration in the
upcoming months.”
Disability inclusive
development has been a major part of CBCHS projects for many years in the North
West, South West, West, Center and littoral regions of Cameroon with many Municipal
administration accepting and signing MoUs to implement the ideas in their Council
areas. . The institution hopes to conquer new territory in the North of the
Country.
