Cape Verde has beaten Ethiopia in the second fixture of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2021. Julio Tavares scored the lone goal of the fixture at the Olembe stadium.to ensure his team clinch the very important victory.
With one man down, the Ethiopians failed to pull back the goal or grab a win.
Cape Verde scored their last goal in an AFCON tournament in Tunisia in 2015 via Heldon Ramos.
Cape will face the stallions of Brkina Faso on January 13, 2022 in Olembe.
