By Bakah Derick

The President of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) has met with the resident representative of the United Nation Development Program (UNDP) to discuss the possibility for the construction of a leisure center in the North West Region.
Samuel Eto'o Fils and Jean Luc Stalon met at the national football governing body headquarters in Tsinga Yaounde on Tuesday 25 January 2022 to reflect on the project expected to be in the North West and South West Regions.
Hilltopvoices has not gotten detail on the project and the meeting reported on the football association (FA) social media platforms. It is also indicated on the post that discussions also touched on the construction of a stadium in the far North Region of Cameroon.
"It was a pleasure to meet with Jean-Luc Stalon, resident representative of UNDP Cameroun, to discuss partnership opportunities to promote football and sports as agents for social cohesion & development in Cameroon." Samuel Eto'o Fils wrote on his social media platforms

The North West and Far North is among the regions in Cameroon void of sports infrastructure.

The recently elected president will be doing these regions a great service should the projects come to reality.

Many in these regions continue to expect the announcement for a stadium especially the North West with two elite one, two elite two and one division one women's football teams.
