Hilltopvoices North West Chief Correspondent Wawa Jackson has written an official statement intended to observe the first of his liberation from Prison. In a heart warming note, Wawa celebrates his Counsel Barrister Ngwang Shey and speaks about the bitterness he nursed while in detention
"THIS DAY IN MY STORY-
On this day of the Lord 2021, I walked free from Nkambe prison. It appeared to me like a dream. I had almost lost hope following countless adjournments and delays in my court case. Not believing my own eyes, I asked Barrister Ngwang Shey, my Counsel and hero wether truly we were going home? Get into the car let's go, it is over. He replied .
The court had just ruled in a summary trial transforming my near three-year stay in "ngata" into punishment for a crime we will one day know where I committed.I was set free though.
As I descended the staircase of the prison facility, I looked back and dumped the bitterness nursed while in chains. It was needless imprisoning myself again with grudges against anyone.
It was a painful experience but I can only look back, talk about it now in the past tense and and laugh." Wawa Jackson Nfor
