An online assembly of over 51000 members being Nso sons and daughters have conferred the maiden edition of the Nso Leadership Award 2021 on Mformi Ndzerem Stephen Njodzeka Director General of SHUMAS Cameroon and President Emeritus of NsoDA. The announcement was made last January 20, 2022 in Washington DC and the award handed to the winner on Saturday 12 March 2022 in Bamenda.
"Congratulations Steve Njodzeka Ndzerem Mformi, Our Nso Leadership Award Winner of 2021. Many sons and daughters of Nso have contributed so much in making Nso a better place for all Wirfon. One of those Wirfon is our Emeritus President General of NSODA, TAA MFOOME KIBA’RI woo SHUMAS, Steve Njodzeka NDZEREM. The SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF NSO (WIRFON) Platform is honoring Taa Mfoome Kiba’ri woo SHUMAS for all that he has done for Nso in particular and for Cameroon in general. Thank You Taa Mfoome for your service. You are our Nso Legend." The announcement by the platform lead Fon Kong Dr Fai read.
Handing over the award to the laureate in Bamenda by delegation, the leader of Nfuh Bamenda Venatius Fontar appreciated him for what he has done for Nso sons and daughters during his tenure as president of the Nso Development Association (NsoDA) and his not-for-profit nongovernmental organization Strategic Humanitarian Services (SUMAS). According to the Nfuh leader, it is good to continue working hard because many more awards are on the way.
In what visibly was an acceptance speech, the Director of SHUMAS outlined his efforts in making Nso and Cameroon in general a better place. With a record of over 800 classroom constructed across the country, hundreds of offices, toilet, water supply facilities, healthcare donations, several humanitarian interventions and much more, Mformi Ndzerem Stephen through SHUMAS Cameroon has achieved what will take many NGOs a long time to get there.
While dedicating the award to his sister and father all of late whom he said played an important role in making him who he is today, Mformi Ndzerem Stephen said the award was an indication that he was at the service of mankind that is absolutely in need.
Shey Woo Bii Wong Ngando Peter, promoter of PEE BREAD bakery and a senior Nso notable present at the award handover ceremony stated that Mformi Ndzerem Stephen Njodzeka merited his award. He congratulated him and prayed God almighty to continue giving him the strength to be a shining example to Wirfon and the rest of the world.
