Rangers FC Bafut trumph away
Rangers FC Bafut has recorded an impressive win against Ngaoundere FC on Thursday 7 April 2022. Anumewa Franklin and his contingent humbled Ngaoundere FC before their own fans at home at the Ndoumbe Oumar football field 2-1.
Rangers FC led 2-0 at halftime with goals from Tabufor Ernest and Fuh Blaise Ndiforchu before Nagoundere FC pulled one back via Sabo Aboulahi from the penalty spot.
"Rangers FC of Bafut this afternoon beats Ngaoundere FC at the Stade Ndoumbe Oumar by 2#1. The team are 3rd in Pole B with 4 points." A post read on the team's Facebook page.
The win is the first for the team this season and the first ever in the second tier championship following her ascension in 2021. They played a draw zero all draw against Unisport of Bafang on match day one.
Rangers FC takes on Aigle Royal of the Menoua in Dschang on Sunday 10 April 2022.
Foncha Street FC stumbles
Foncha Street FC made a stumbling start to their Elite Two Championship campaign falling 1-0 to Dynamo FC Douala. Coach Soh Simplice and his men who were on standby on day one began their campaign on Thursday 7 April 2022 in Douala.
Despite putting up an admirable performance in Japoma, historic Dynamo did the essentials to clinch the three points of the day.
"We started the season with a defeat. Time for the players to regroup and deliver on Sunday against Laussane in Yaounde." A statement on the club's Facebook page read.
Foncha Street FC returned to second tier football following a decision by the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) rehabilitated some relegated teams into the first and second tier including the Bamenda team.
The two North West flag bearers have as key mission; qualifying for the top tier championship next season and according to experts, accumulating as many points as possible during the first round is essential for any serious campaigner.
