"Nkumu Fed Fed has given me a
grinding machine, an umbrella and other things because I wish to do fruit business. I have a child of two years and I could not get a job because of that. I can't say how happy I am. It is not easy for someone to give you things like this without me giving even a franc. We are many and I can't really explain how I feel than say I am very happy." Amua Celine a beneficiary said.

Shabou Phalone, physchosocial assistant at Nkumu Fed Fed tells www.hilltopvoices.com that many of the adult beneficiaries have suffered different forms of gender based violence including rape, physical assault, denial of resources for child up bringing or refusal for them to work and sexual assault. During the internship period, the beneficiaries received coaching that allowed them to build their self-esteem.
Nkumu Fed Fed national President Eunice Tita Tata has used the graduation event to disclose that the project will run for two  years with an expected target of 250 youths starting with the first set of 50 and another batch of 75 expected in September. The selection of beneficiaries according to Eunice Tita, has been inclusive and transparent, with trainers providing the right coaching skills to enable them face their business with competence and the right frame of mind. She has challenge the 50 adults to use the start-up material well so as to aquire practical skills and train others when need arises.

Created in 1982, Nkumu Fed Fed authorities say they have "been investing efforts into empowering the less privileged in the rural communities in Cameroon with focus on women and the girl-child." With women and girls constituting the most vulnerable in the face of a raging armed conflict, poverty and discriminatory traditional practices, the move by the charity certainly provides relief.

Representatives of the Ministry of Womens Empowerment and the family, National Empowerment Fund present at the graduation event have praised Nkumu Fed Fed for standing the gap between the survivors of Gender Based Violence in the restive North West Region and their challenges thus giving them hope in living.
