The Fon of Nkwen has been announced for Yaoundé this Saturday 6 August 2022. According to a document which www.hilltopvoices.com stumbled on, HRH Fon Azehfor III will be received in the nation's capital by Nkwen Son's and Daughters under the canopy of the Nkwen Cultural and Development Association (NCDA).
According to the document, the major high point of the visit will be the meeting of the Nkwen People in Yaoundé and installation of Quarter Heads. Classified as a quarter due to the number of Nkwen Sons and daughters based in and around the city of seven hills, the Fon is expected to install a quarter head and assistants to ensure the promotion and protection of the culture and tradition of the Nkwen People.
The official royal visit is the first since ascending the throne of Nkwen to the community in Yaoundé.
Sources close to the palace have confirmed to www.hilltopvoices.com that the Fon is accompanied in the trip by well placed traditional authorities and notables.
