Children displaced by the armed conflict in the North West and South west regions living in Malouir, Magba, West region have received school going materials and humanitarian assistance from Coalition Center for Human Rights and Humanitarian Assistance, CCHRHA.
This was Tuesday November 1,2022 in a ceremony attended by village authorities of Malouir.
According to CCHRHA,the program was carried out in context of it's 'Child back to school' campaign in partnership with Charity Aids Foundation,CAF-America,a US based charity organization.
"We are here to continue with our humanitarian activities.We came under our special program'Child back to school",said Nchanji Roland Njeba, Founder/President of CCHRHA.
School kids were handed materials that will enable them go back to school at ease.
"We have donated school materials comprising of books,pens, pencils,rulers,bags and many others", CCHRHA president continued adding that,"beneficiaries were children from primary to high school levels"
Apart from school materials,the humanitarian organisation also gave out foodstuff to the school children and the community at large.
"Considering that children must eat before going to school we brought bags of rice , vegetable oil, maggie and salt",he said.
The beneficiary population saluted the humanitarian gesture, thanking donors for thinking of them.
" I am really happy with all we have received.I never knew that people were thinking about us living in this bush",The traditional ruler of Malouir said.
"We can now go to school freely with all these school materials that they have given us" said a secondary beneficiary.
Besides assisting internally displaced children, CCHRHA president revealed that the community has a good number of fulani children who are out of school,a situation that they also tried to remedy.
"we discovered that most fulani children in Malouir have not been going to school due to ignorance.We have reached out to them and given them school materials" Nchanji Roland Njeba went on adding that,"We have advised some teachers around here to assess and submit to us difficulties faced by these children so that we can see what to do"
As a civil society organisation,he said,"It is our duty to help government see that every child is educated"
