Bamenda, Cameroon - On February 13, commercial motorcycle riders and politicians took to the streets of Bamenda to celebrate the 91st birthday of President Paul Biya. The event, organized by the President's supporters displayed unity and support for the long-serving leader.
The day began with a colorful parade through the city streets, with motorcyclists paraded the streets with the picture and dressed in t-shirt carrying images of President Biya. The procession culminated at the Reformers Overcomers Chapel, where both Christian and Muslim prayers were offered for the President's well-being and continued leadership.
Among the politicians present at the event were the President of the Regional Assembly, Prof. FRU Angwafor, the City Mayor, Paul Achombong, Member of Parliament Agho Oliver, Mayors and others. As indicated in every intervention, these leaders, along with the commercial motorcycle riders, came together to show their appreciation for President Biya's decades of service to the nation.
During the ceremony, gifts were presented to President Biya through the Governor, and a birthday cake was cut in his honor. The highlight of the event was when the attendees called on President Biya to run for another presidential mandate in 2025, expressing their confidence in his leadership and vision for the country.
The co-organizers Paul Achombong, and Agho Oliver, spoke passionately about their support for President Biya and urged their fellow citizens to rally behind him in the upcoming elections.
As the celebrations concluded, it was clear that President Biya continues to enjoy strong support from both ordinary citizens and political leaders in Bamenda. The event served as a reminder of the President's enduring legacy and the deep admiration that many have for his leadership.
