PWD Bamenda Escapes Relegation as Elite One Championship Play-Down Ends

PWD Bamenda has managed to pull off a miraculous escape from relegation following the dramatic playoffs down of the Elite One championship.

The final day of matches saw Union Sportif of Douala secure a hard-fought victory over Fovu FC of Baham with a scoreline of 2-1, while AS Fortuna suffered a surprising defeat at the hands of Bamboutos FC with a score of 2-1. These results set the stage for an intense battle at the bottom of the table, with several teams fighting to avoid the dreaded drop to Elite 2.
PWD Bamenda emerged as the ultimate victors of survival, despite initially finding themselves in the relegation zone. With other results going their way, including Fauve Azur Elite's defeat against Apejes of Mfou and Les Astres FC's convincing win over Avion Academy, PWD Bamenda managed to climb out of the relegation places and secure their place in the Elite One for the next season.
