Grass2Grace, a Douala-based non-profit organization, recently celebrated its fourth edition of recognizing courageous individuals in the Northwest Region with international awards. The recipients, including mayors, credit union presidents, pastors, and magistrates, were honored for their exceptional humanitarian efforts amidst the region’s ongoing crisis.
Chief Thomas Fotang, the visionary behind Grass2Grace and a goodwill ambassador under the UN system in Cameroon, explained to The Hilltop Mail Community Online Newspaper that the initiative aims to encourage those dedicated to humanitarian work and to dissuade young people from taking dangerous risks to migrate abroad. Fotang urged those who have succeeded abroad to return and invest in creating local job opportunities.
Among the awardees, Mayor Dr. Ntoh Daniel of Ndop Council expressed surprise and gratitude, stating that the recognition motivates him to continue his humanitarian endeavors.
