Hilltopvoices Communications Group Ltd, website www.hilltopvoices.com has been recognised as the Best Blog of 2024 by CAMRAISE Academy (CAMACA). The prestigious award was presented during a colourful ceremony at the events hall of Alliance Française Bamenda on Sunday, 29 December 2024.
The hall erupted in applause as the Promoter of CAMACA, Kouamo Arnaud, announced Hilltopvoices as the winner of this coveted award, emphasising the organisation's impact and contribution to media excellence in Cameroon.
Representing Hilltopvoices Communications Group Ltd at the ceremony, the Administrator and Lead Strategist, Bakah Derick, expressed gratitude to the award organisers.
“This award is proof to the dedication of the entire Hilltopvoices team. We are deeply honoured by this recognition and profoundly grateful to CAMACA for celebrating our efforts to create a media platform that drives positive change in our society.” he said in his acceptance speech.
Bakah also reaffirmed Hilltopvoices’ commitment to its founding mission.
“This recognition is not just a reward; it is a call to action. We are more determined than ever to continue championing democracy, amplifying the voices of the underrepresented, and promoting inclusive development. This is just the beginning,” he added.
The ceremony brought together journalists, bloggers, media practitioners, civil society organisations, artists and many development stakeholders from across the North West Region and beyond.

Reflecting on the importance of the accolade, Bakah noted, “being named the Best Blog by CAMACA inspires us to aim higher. It reminds us that our work is being seen and appreciated, but it also challenges us to do more, to innovate, and to remain a voice for the voiceless.”
