Community spirit, unity, triumph at Hilltopvoices Thank You Cocktail 2024

The Hilltopvoices Thank You Cocktail 2024 marked a moment of unity, appreciation, and celebration in the Bamenda III Municipality. Held under the theme “Honouring Service: Empowering Communities through Media,” the event brought together stakeholders, partners, and community leaders to reflect on the power of collaboration in driving inclusive community development.
The beautifully decorated hall set the stage for an event that celebrated individuals and institutions who have significantly impacted the municipality. The atmosphere was calm, as music, speeches, and performances came together to create an unforgettable experience.

In his opening remarks, Hilltopvoices Administrator Bakah Derick highlighted the importance of recognising contributions to community development. 
“This cocktail is not just a thank you; it is a reminder that our progress as a community depends on the service and dedication of every individual. Today, we honour those who have exemplified this spirit,” he told to Hilltopvoices Newspaper.

The event celebrated key figures, including the Divisional Officer, Ayuni Austin Sakah, the Mayor of Bamenda III Council, Fongu Cletus Tanwe, The General Manager of NWCA Ltd, Waindim Timothy Ntam, The President of Hope Social Union for Visually Impaired (HSUVI), Tonain Peter, Executive Director of CAGEAD, Andiensa Clotilda, Bayelle Cooperative Credit Union, Muma Azehfor, Azinue Ngufor, Entrepreneur Shey Ngando Peter, Education promoter, Louis Nforbelie  Ngwa, Strategic Humanitarian Services (SHUMAS) Cameroon, Ntungfor Oliver of NDC, traditional leaders and others. These leaders were commended for their tireless efforts in fostering development and preserving the municipality’s cultural heritage.
Guests were treated to engaging presentations, including a thought-provoking session by journalist Ngong Song Jean Marie on the “Role of Media in Community Development.” His message highlighted the importance of ethical storytelling and media’s potential to power development. 

Artistic performances from celebrated musicians such as Fanka Eric, Bob Ben, Motanni and Ghetto Prince added a cultural richness to the evening. 
Partners such as the YG, Bayelle Cooperative Credit Union, Tasty Flavours Natural Fruit Juice, Mirror Entertainment and the North West Cooperative Association (NWCA) Ltd were acknowledged for their support in making the event a success.


As the event concluded, attendees left with a renewed sense of purpose, inspired by the  celebration of service and community spirit.
