The Christians of St Paul’s Parish, Ntahkekah, Mile Three Nkwen, celebrated their inaugural feast day as a full parish on Wednesday, 26 January 2025. This comes months after the former quasi-parish was elevated to full parish status.
The highlight of the annual event was a Eucharistic celebration held at the main mission, presided over by the Parish Pastor, Rev. Father Ignatius Waindim, alongside other priests of the parish. Christians from the four mission stations, St Dominic, St Andrew, St Joseph, and St Paul gathered at the main mission to give thanks to God for their lives and the growth of the parish.
In his homily, Rev. Father Ignatius Waindim drew inspiration from the Gospel of Luke 1:1-4, which recounts the life and conversion of St Paul, the parish's patron saint. He reminded the congregation that celebrating the feast of St Paul is a celebration of God’s grace in their lives. He further emphasised that, like Saul, who became St Paul, all sinners can transform into saints by following God’s teachings and living a righteous life.

She acknowledged the former priests who had served the parish and guided the faithful to this milestone. She also urged Christians to implement the Provincial Pastoral Plan in all aspects of parish life, increase their financial support, and intensify their prayer lives by reading the Bible. She concluded by announcing the conclusion of the 2025 harvest thanksgiving activities.
The second segment of the feast day took place at the church esplanade, featuring a vibrant programme of events. Mission stations participated in a march-past, showcasing their numerical strength and growth, alongside St Paul’s Nursery and Primary School, which has experienced remarkable expansion. The celebration was further animated by choral music, traditional dances from various parish groups, and cultural presentations.
Prizes in cash and kind were awarded to winners of the team, collective, and indoor games held prior to the feast day, adding to the festive atmosphere of the occasion.
