TAYA Bamenda donates sanitary kits to health facilities in Tabenken.

Four health facilities in Tabenken,a village in Nkambe,Donga Mantung Division of the North West Region have benefitted sanitary kits from Tabenken Youth Association, TAYA Bamenda branch.The facilities include, Tabenken Integrated Health Center, Catholic Mission Health Center, Jang Nursing Home Clinic, and AGENECS Health Center Jah.

The tools were handed to the facilities Friday January 17,2025 by a delegation of TAYA Bamenda headed by it's President Tarla Afanyu Tarla  in the presence of the representative of the Fon of Tabenken and home branch president of Tabenken Cultural and Development Association (TACUDA). 


Amongst the tools donated were; trash cans, buckets, wheel barrows, spades, gloves, rain boots and brooms.

Handing over the items,the President of TAYA Bamenda said it was a gesture from Tabenkenian youths resident in Bamenda to assist health facilities back home in keeping their surroundings clean.

"Hygiene plays a vital role in  healthcare.We gathered our widows might to provide this to these facilities that are taking care of the health of our people back home," said Tarla Afanyu Tarla,TAYA Bamenda president.

Beneficiary facilities expressed gratitude to the youth organization for such an initiative which according to them is very timely given several challenges faced.


According to the chief of Center of Tabenken Integrated Health Center, " We are very grateful for this gesture.This is very timely.We were in high need of this to address  hygiene and sanitation which I think is solved now,"

Other challenges faced he said are insufficient beds, Laboratory equipments and many others.

On behalf of the Matron of Catholic Mission Health Center, Emerencia Ngoran lauded TAYA Bamenda saying, "We are short of words to express our gratitude for this gesture.Not everybody will think about us this way.We will ensure a proper use of these tools "

"This is really encouraging and I am really overwhelmed with joy.God will bless you people for this initiative," remarked the Medical Officer of AGENECS Health Center.
